Our mission - The Pet Place is a true labor of love. Owners Lynn and Marc Macy, lifelong Menlo Park residents, are dedicated in everyway to the well-being of animals. Welfare is the heart and soul of The Pet Place, which includes rescue and adoption... hosting shelters and rescues weekly, and working daily to help place homeless animals, lost & found, fundraising/donations, disaster relief, and involvement in animal rights/welfare/environmental issues. It also means carrying an amazing selection of products, and customer service that's second to none.

Opened in 1992, this is a wonderful store with such heart and compassion for both animals and people. With its comfortable, welcoming atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff, the store offers a wide unique selection of products for whatever is needed to take the best possible care of your animals.

We offer personalized service, problem solving, special & custom orders, referrals and information, nutritional counseling, frequent buyer cards, competitive prices and senior discounts. The Pet Place regularly hosts different events, guest speakers, and specialists.

Owners Lynn and Marc Macy, life-long Menlo Park residents, are dedicated in every way to the welfare of animals. They are co-founders of the Stanford Cat Network, and Pet Prints, Marc's award-winning professional animal photography since 1986.

The Pet Place is Menlo Park's one and only local and independent pet supply. Proudly serving Menlo and beyond since 1992.

One of these awards is the City of Menlo Park's prestigious Golden Acorn Award for "Business of the Year"... for "Professional Excellence and Community Service". Another is The Almanac's Readers' Choice Award for favorite pet supply...23 years in a row. The past three years, The Pet Place also has received the Palo Alto Daily News "Peoples Choice Award" for best pet supply. Nationally, The Pet Place received Pet Product News Magazines Award for top independent Pet Supply in Community Service.
