About Us

Pacific Peninsula is comprised of four individual companies working together under one roof to provide complete design-through-construction services in some of the most exclusive communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Pacific Peninsula Group (PPG) is the real estate development division specializing in residential and office projects on the Mid-Peninsula. Pacific Peninsula Architecture (PPA) and Pacific Peninsula Interiors (PPI) provide architecture and design services. Pacific Peninsula Custom Group (PPCG), in concert with PPA and PPI, builds high-end custom homes for its clients.

History
Pacific Peninsula was incorporated in 1989, and immediately established itself as a builder of fine homes and residential developments in Atherton, Woodside, Menlo Park, and Palo Alto. Pacific Peninsula's offices are located in downtown Menlo Park, and were designed by PPA together with PPI and built by PPG.

Our Process
The phrase "design-through-construction" is used frequently throughout this website. Design-through-construction simply means that Pacific Peninsula provides all of the services necessary to take a project from concept to reality. For the Pacific Peninsula client, the advantages are substantial:

seamless communication with the architect and construction staff
tight control over schedules
intelligent risk management
control over quality.

In the traditional custom home building model, the client is required to take on the role of coordinator for all phases of the project. The client must interview and select an architect and contractor from several candidates in two independent searches, and secure a slot on their schedules (and hope those schedules align). Additionally, the client will normally secure and coordinate the services of an interior designer. To integrate the work of three independent firms and to align their interests and schedules with that of the owner is a major task. This often results in added costs and compromises in either the quality and/or the schedule.

The Pacific Peninsula approach is unique and encompasses all disciplines necessary to deliver an exceptional high quality home on a predictable schedule in a cost efficient manner. In this model Pacific Peninsula is the coordinator making sure all elements come together to yield a superior finished product.
